A Dhaka court yesterday (Sunday) placed three private university students on five-day remand each in a case filed over the first ever seizure of LSD (Lysergic Acid Diethylamide) drug in the country’s history.
Magistrate Baki Billah of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka passed the order, after hearing in a virtual court.
The three accused students are North-South University (NSU) students Sadman Sakib Rupol and Ashab Wadud Turjo, and Independent University of Bangladesh (IUB) student Adin Ashraf.
DB Police on May 26 arrested the accused on the charge of selling LSD, and seized 200 LSD from their possessions. They used to sell every LSD for Tk 3000.
While investigating the death incident of Dhaka University student Hafizur Rahman police recovered the LSD.
