Seized Indian currency declared fake

The seized Indian currency has been declared fake by the CID, Chittagong which ascertained after forensic test in the CID lab in Dhaka. To ensure the legality of these notes required 8 months. A report in connection will be submitted to court by CID to morrow(Sunday), sources said. After ascertaining the fake status of the seized currency notes , the IO of the case CID Inspector of Chittagong Mr.Liton Dewan handed over these fake notes toCtg Customs Authority on Thursday .
CID Inspector Mr. Liton dewan told the media that they received the opinions of Inspector Md. Abu Sayeed , a CID Forensic Expert over the seized currency notes on Wednesday last which is expected to be submitted before the court tomorrow. Mentionable that CustomsIntelligence officials seized these fake currency notes of Tk.2 crores71 lakhs 76 thousand 500 taka from a container in Chittagong port on September 18 last. Later Revenue officer of CIID Bidhan Kumar Sarkar filed a case before the Bandar thana under CMP accusing 6 persons on September 20 last, sources said.
