A Chhatra League leader filed two cases with the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka against lawyer Dr Tuhin Malik, one for sedition and the other on the charge of hurting the religious sentiments of the people on Tuesday noon.
Magistrate Hasibul Haque of the court received both cases and directed Shahbagh Police Station of the city to submit reports after investigation.
International Affairs Secretary of a sub-committee of Bangladesh Chhatra League, Golam Rabbani lodged both cases with the CMM Court for Tuhin’s remark about the Constitution of the country and Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at a seminar at Lily Garden auditorium in London on November 30.
