Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Sunday said that no banner, poster on makeshift shop will be allowed in the Central Shaheed Minar area ahead of the International Mother Language Day on February 21.
“Besides, Shaheed Minar, Dhaka University and Nilkhet areas will be brought under CCTV cameras from the night of February 20 on security grounds,” the minister said while talking to reporters after a meeting at Secretariat in the afternoon.
Special security measures will be taken for the President, Prime Minister and foreign diplomats when they visit Shaheed Minar to pay tributes to the language martyrs, he said.
Vehicle movements will be restricted in the area and no vehicles without Dhaka University sticker will enter the area on the day, he added.
