A member of security staff at Chattogram Port was killed as he was hit by a crane on Thursday night.
The deceased, Md Lokman, 38, from Chandpur, was killed on the spot after the crane hit him at yard-6 around 10:30pm, said Omar Faruk, secretary of Chattogram Port. Officials are investigating the incident, he said.
