Appeal verdict of SQ Chy: Security in witness house tightened

Securities has lightened through deploying police forces in the houses of the witnesses of war crimes death row convict Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury centring the appeal verdict today by the appeallate division .
 To assist the police forces, BGB is expected to be deployed today in these specific areas. Mentionable that hundred of families of Gohira, Jagatmallapara, unsattarpara, Kundwesari, Sultanpur and adjoining areas under Raozan Upazila of chitagong were tortured brutally during liberation war of 1971 .
A number of the tortured families gave depositions against the WC convict Salahuddin Quader Chy before the ICT . Before the announcement of ICT verdict on Salahuddin Quader against his anti-humanity crimes in 2013, most of the witnesses families left their houses to unknown destinations keeping the houses lock and key , different local sources said. Asstt super of police, Hathazari circle Md. Moshiudowla said about 20-25 witnesses in this cases live in Raozan and the names, address of these witnesses procured in the meantime. Police forces have been deployed in their houses and eight mobile teams headed by sub-inspector have been sent to the houses of the witnesses and asked to guard them round the clock, sources said. Mentionable that Salahuddin Quader C howdhury was elected Member Parliament several times from Raozan constituency and the neighbouring Rangunia constituency and lastly he joined in BNP politics .
