11th Parliamentary Election: Security check posts ahead of National polls

Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) started setting up of check posts in different parts of the city ahead of the 11th national parliamentary polls to bring listed criminals to book and to stop transportation of arms and ammunitions. The CMP formally launched the check post at city’s AK Khan intersection yesterday afternoon.
Members of law enforcing agencies started checking different moods of transport including bus, truck, pickup and bikes plying to and from Chattogram-Dhaka and others districts.
Nearly 50 members of law enforcing agencies are working under senior assistant commissioners Doublemooring Zone Ashikur Rahman, Pahartali Zoon Pankoj Barua, Officer-In-Charge of Pahartali Thana Sudip Kumar Das. Ashikur Rahman said the authority will continue check different moods of transport including bus, truck, pickup and bikes even individuals to catch the listed criminals red handed and stop transportation of illegal arms.
Boat is symbol of dev, progress: Fazle Karim
Awami League nominee from Raozan Constituency in coming national polls ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury said, Boat is the only symbol in next polls for development and progress of the country.
 He said during the period of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina , tremendous development achieved in Raozan and to sustain this trend of development , we should caste for vote in favour of Boat symbol.
 He disclosed at his mass contact programs and street rally in Dabua Union Parishad areas of the upazila on Wednesday . The incumbent lawmaker said Raozan now freed from militancy, terrorism and drug addicts and people of this upazila are sleeping peacefully during last period of present govt. He also said almost of roads and lanes of the upazila are pucca and cent percent dwellers are getting power .
 He said in education sector, all educational institutions rebuilded with new architecture and he desires to turn Raozan in a model upazila .
He addressed a number street meeting other than mass contact at Kalampati, South Hingala, Hingala, Suranga, Hasankhil, East Dabua, West Dabua, Chikdair village.
Acting President of Raozan Awami League unit Kamaluddin, Vice Chairman of Upazila Noor Mohammad, President of Jubo League, Raozan and Panel Mayor Zamiruddin Parvez, General Secretary JL Syed Abdul Jabbar Sohel, Dabua Union AL president Abdur Rahman chowdhury, AL leaders saifuddin Bachchu, Dr. Jaybratha, Obaidul Hoque, Lokman Hossain, Tapan Day, Nurul Alam, Azad Hossain, Abul Kalam, Jahangir Alam, Sabiruddin, Md. Asad, Chhatra League leader Sajjat Hossain, Nasiruddin accompanied the AL nominee during mass contact programs.

Saifuddin Ahmad Maizbhandari statrts poll campaign

Saifuddin Ahmad Maizbhandari, President of Bangladesh Supreme Party and nominee of Islami Front launches his election campaign in Bhandarsharif area of Fatikchari yesterday morning as a MP candidate from Islami Front for Chattagram-2 seat .
He launches his mass contact program just after prayer at mazars of Syed Moinuddin Maizbhandari, Syed Ahmedullah Maizbhandari, Golamur Rahman Maizbhandai and Ziaul Hoque Maizbandari . On first day of his election campaign, he also offered fateha at mazar of Nanupur Ishapuri Shah and thegrave of former lawmaker Rafiqul Anowar. During his day-long mass contact program, he visited the residences of voters of his constituency under Fatikchari upazila in Nanu pur, Binajuri, Charalia hat, Islamia hat, Nayahat,Kanchanagar, Bibirhat. He sought blessing from the voters ofthe area and requested them to caste vote for Candle symbol. Leader of IF Shahidul Alam Hadi, Alamgir Khan, Didarul Alam, Md. Kabir Hossain, Md Osman, Gazi salahuddin, Jubo sena and chatra sena leaders accompanied the nominee during his election campaign.
