A thick security blanket has been thrown in and around the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka where England Team will take on Bangladesh side in first match of the one-day international series today (Friday).
As part of the effort, a security drill was conducted at the stadium on Thursday.
The 1 Para Commando Battalion, Army Aviation Wing, Bangladesh Air Force and a number of other security agencies took part in the security demonstration.
In the event of any extreme situation during the England series, Bangladesh Army will be on standby

He said roads will be closed during the journey of England’s team to the cricket ground escorted by armed motorbikes and vehicles.
“As many as 500 members of law enforcement agencies have been involved in the security effort,” said the official.
He, however, refused to divulge further details about the security plan.
