Securities in elite class of hotels and other vital establishments in the city have been beefed up following the security alert instruction of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
Special security steps have been taken in the hotels of the city’s Gulshan and Banani areas as most of the foreigners used to stay there.
Every service of the hotel has improved due to adoption of security measures, Mostak Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner of DMP’s Gulshan Division,

He urged the owners to verify the identity of the hotel boarders and employees.
The hotel owners have been asked to keep their surveillance cameras rolling and inform police about their guests. Surveillance surrounding the clubs and foreign missions has also been heightened, he added.
Besides the check posts, additional plainclothes men have been posted in the strategic points, he said.
