The country’s biggest Eid-ul-Azha Jamaat will be held on Tuesday at historic Sholakia Ground in Kishoreganj town keeping the tradition of the last 189 years. Eid Jamaat started at Sholakia in 1827.
More than two lakh people are expected in attend the biggest even Eid congregation in the Muslim world at Sholakia Maidan.
Kishoreganj District Administration has tightened security measures in the town and Sholakia ground ensuring pleasent Eid-ul-Azha celebration scheduled to be held on Tuesday.
Sholakia, Gulshan and others area in the country, Law enforcer have beefed up security before and after the great religious festival of the Muslim in the district town and upazilas of the district.
In this connection, the senior officials of the law enforcement and the intilligence agencies. Sholakia Management committee special meeting was held at D.C conference room with Deputy Commissioner Md. Azimuddin Biswas in the chair.
Police Super Md. Anower Hossain Khan said that, a three-tier security arrangement has been taken up in the town ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha. BGB, RAB, Armed Police, Battalian Anser deployed in the town.
Noted Islamic thinker, former D.G of Islamic Foundation Moulana Md. Farid Uddin Masud will lead the Eid Prayer to be held at 9.00 am.
