Kishoreganj District Administration has chalked out a plan to intensify special security measures during the holy Durga Puja in the district as well as holy Ashura .
Deputy Commissioner of Kishoreganj Md. Azimuddin Biswas assured Puja Udjapon Parishad, Hindu Kalyan trusties of talking foolproof security for smoth celebration of the festival at the meeting at collectorate conference room.
Additional Police Super Md. Rakib Khan on Thursday said that foolproof security has been been taken in the district town and 13 upazilas centering the Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the country’s Hindu Community”
At least 365 puja mandops would be brought under the security blanket of Police, RAB, Ansewr, Armed Police, D.B and other intellience agencies will stay inside the procession in plain clothes to fend off any trouble.
CCTV surveillance systems will be installed in important Puja Mandop as a pant of the security measures.
The law enforcers will also remain alent to detect eve teasers.
District Megistrate noted that devotees will have to enter the Puja Mandops though archway and their bodies will be searched. No bags, sharp weapons and flammable substances will be allowed to carry while entering mandaps. Use of fire works and crackers has already been prohibited.
The holy festival of Ashura will be celebrated in the district town as elsewhere in the district on October 11 next with religious festivity.
During the day, many religious sections, religious organisations will chalked out elaborate programs on the day including Tazia procession, matam rally of Shia community in the town.
To avoid any unwanted incidents, Administration will deploy Additional Police, RAB forces on this day, sources said.
