Local administration has imposed section 144 in the district’s Dharmapasha upazila as both Awami League and Jubo League called rallies at the same venue at the same time.
Apprehending possible violence, the local administration took the decision which will remain in force from 6am Friday to 12am midnight.
UNO Saiful Islam said: “The ban has been imposed in the public interest.
Madhyanagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Hasanuzzaman said: “Police have been deployed in the area for the purpose.”
