Agrani Bank Limited recorded their second successive victory in the First Division Cricket League beating Sheikh Jamal cricketers by 38 runs in their group A match held on Tuesday at Sher-e-Bangla
National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur.
Chasing a winning target of 174 runs set by Agrani Bank, Sheikh Jamal found the chase stiff losing wickets in regular intervals and finally dismissed at 135 in 49.2 overs. Mosabber Hossain was the highest scorer for Sheikh Jamal with 37 runs.
Fazle Rabbi was the pick of Agrani Bank bowler as he grabbed three wickets while Touhid Rana, M Ishak and Zahid Javed shared two wickets each.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, Agranai Bank were bundle out for 173 in 43.5 overs with Zahid Javed top scoring 65 runs.
Linkon Dey Sanjoy was the most successful bowler for Sheikh Jamal as he picked up four Agrani Bank’ wickets.
Besides, Sayed Moidul, Moinul Islam and Omar Farque bagged two wickets apiece for Sheikh Jamal.
In the day’s other matches, Talent Hunt Cricket Academy, BKSP, Udayachal Cricket Club and Kakrail Boys won their matches after beating their respective rivals.
