The second semifinal and Saturday’s final of the Metropolitan Women’s Cricket League have been postponed indefinitely due to inclement weather.
The second semifinal between Abahani Limited and Khelaghar Samaj Kalyan Samity was scheduled to be held Thursday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur.
However, continuous rain had made the ground unsuitable for play and the league’s technical committee decided to postpone the matches until the weather improves.
Fresh dates for the matches will be announced soon.
BCB announces men’s, women’s squads for Asian Games

Bangladesh Cricket Board on Friday announced men’s and women’s squads for the Asian Games scheduled to be held on September 19 to October 4 in Incheon South Korea.
Mens squad: Tamim Iqbal, Anamul Hoque Bijoy, Imrul Kayes, Md. Mithun, Shamsur Rahman, Shuvagata Hom Chowdhury, Shabbir Rahaman, Mahmud Ullah, Nasir Hossain, Shohag Gazi, Arafat Sunny, Masrafe Bin Mortaza, Muktar Ali, Al-Amin Hossain andTaskin Ahmed.
Womens squad: Rumana Ahmed, Shaila Sharmin, Lata Mondol, Khadiza-Tul Kubra, Fargana H. Pinky, Salma Khatun, Panna Ghosh, Nuzhat Tasnia, Jahanara Alam, Ayasha Rahman, Fahima Khatun, Sanjida Islam, Sharmin Akter Supta, Shohaly Akther and Shahnaz Parvin.
