The second group of footballers of 36-member preliminary squad of Bangladesh Football team left the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) House in Motijheel on Thursday for Sarah Resort in Gazipur.
The second group of the footballers are- Anisur Rahman, Sushanto Tripura, Robiul Hasan, Arifur Rahman, Shahidul Alam, Saad Uddin, Sohel Rana, Mohammad Ibrahim, Rahmat Mia, Riyadul Hasan, Rokib Hossain and Tutul Hossain Badsha. They physically present at the BFF House to report there. Then their Covid-19 test, arranged by BFF was held. This Reporter did not get the information of Covid-19 test of the booters till filing this report.
Meanwhile, a signing ceremony was held between BFF and Sarah Resort Limited at the BFF House on Thursday. Vice-President of BFF Kazi Nabil Ahmed, MP, and Managing Director of Sarah Resort Limited Shahadat Hossain signed in the agreement papers on behalf of their respective organizations. President of BFF Kazi Md Salahuddin, Vice-President of BFF Tabith Awal, General Secretary of BFF Md Abu Nayeem Shohag, General Manager of Sarah Resort Limited Ahmed Rakib were present at the time, among others.
Tariq Raihan Kazi, a Finland-born Bangladeshi footballer has been included in the 36-member preliminary squad of Bangladesh Football team. Earlier, Tariq played for Bashundhara Kings in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football. British-born Bangladeshi Jamal Bhuiyan and Tariq Raihan Kazi cannot arrive Bangladesh, as the flights of aeroplanes from those countries were not available.
The booters would leave BFF House splitting into four groups. But Motin Mia, Mashuk Mia and Atiqur Rahman would not join the camp as they were not available for the camp. They will play for Bashundhara Kings in AFC Cup 2020 in Maldives. The three booters will take part in the coaching camp under supervision of Bashundhara Kings. Later, they will play in the four matches of FIFA World Cup Qualifiers 2022 and AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers 2023. So, the fourth group of the footballers cannot report at the BFF House in due time.
The-36 member preliminary squad of Bangladesh Football team were due to participate in a residential coaching camp at the Sarah Resort in Gazipur. The coaching camp will be held marking the rest of the four matches of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers 2022 and AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers 2023. Bangladesh will take on Afghanistan on October 8, face Qatar on October 13, meet India on November 12 and face Oman on November 17. The fill-fledged conditioning camp will be held under the supervision of Head Coach of Bangladesh Football team Jamie Day from August 21.
