A 52-feet high stone sculpture of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has nearly been completed at Kaltapara high road crossing and on the premises of Maa -Shashuri Briddashram in Gouripur upazila of Mymensingh district Freedom fighter Alhaj Dr Capt (Retd) Mujibur Rahman Fakir MP, former State Minister for Health & Family Welfare sponsored the work in memory of Bangabandhu’s historic March 7 speech of 1971 delivered at the Race Course ground that will inspire the common people of the country. The new generation will go forward defeating all conspiracies and obstacles for rebuilding a new Bangladesh in the spirit of the great Liberation War.
This newly built sculpture of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has been the highest one in the country.
The sculpture could be a gift for the people of greater Mymensingh as well as Bangladesh on the occasion of celebrating the declaration of independence.
