A section of the freedom fighters of Raozan upazila in North Chittagong demanded a fresh scrutiny and ascertaining the real freedom fighters .
The said FFs claimed about the inclusion of non-FFs in the scrutiny committee. The protesting faction of FFs demanded exclusion of non-FFs from the committee otherwise fresh scrutiny of real FFs will not be transparent , they claimed.
It is learnt that allegations against the two members of the scrutiny committee was submitted before the committee of this upazila challenging their legality as FFs earlier. Mentionable that the scrutiny process of FFs began in Raozan from January 21 last at Upazila UNO office .
The three commanders of Liberation War of Raozan viz. Hashem Chowdhury, Tofael Ahmed , Abdus Salam alongwith their supporters walk-out from the meeting protesting the inclusion of non-FFs in the scrutinuy committee. Later a member of the protesting faction of the committee filed a writ before the high court against the scrutiny process and consequently higher court issued Rule Nishi over the scrutiny committee .
Meanwhile , the committee published the finalise list of FFs after scrutiny on Februay 1 last defying the rule nishi of the higher court, the protesting FFs said.
In this context, District Mukhtijudda Commander Md. Shahabuddin told our correspondent that if any real FF is excluded by the committee, they will have rights to appeal before the Mukhtijudda Command Council within the 15 days since declaration of list by the respective upazila committees.
