The work of scrutiny of freedom fighters will begin from today(Saturday) in 14 upazilas and city areas of Chittagong after about two years. In the meantime, govt asked the full particulars of the FFs to justify their rights of real FFs. Sources said the list so submitted by Indian counterpart (known as Red Book) will be excluded from this scrutiny. The intending applicants through online and gazette published FFs will be included in this scrutiny. In this scrutiny process, Chittagong district administration arranged a meeting headed by Deputy commissioner Shamsul Arefin in circuit house conference hall on Thursday .The members of the scrutiny committee, two lawmakers and hundred FFs participated the meeting.
District FF Sangsad sources said Ministry of Freedom fighters in the meantime constituted Scrutiny committee to complete the tasks . Our Raozan correspondent said scrutiny of 342 FFs will be collected for final scrutiny by the committee in Raozan today (Saturday) .Sources said more 149 FFs desire to be enlisted as FFs. Our Raozan correspondent quoting the comments of UNO Shamim Hossain said the scrutiny of FFs will be in a transparent way and the new 149 online applicants will come into scrutiny .
