Scorching heat hits life in Sylhet city

Sylhet dwellers have been suffering most due to scorching heat in Sylhet for the last few of days.
Though people of the Sylhet area have been experiencing drizzles almost every day, but the temperature is yet to calm down amidst Ramadan and monsoon season. Moreover, load shedding at some areas of the city also adds extra woes.
In the meantime, meteorological office said that Sylhet is likely to remain relatively normal as there are chances of heavy shower within next 72 hours. “We will get little relief from hot weather this week as we are expecting rains in the capital and adjacent areas,”
A meteorologist told that Many inhabitants living in Sylhet city said that it is very difficult to continue daily works during this unbearable hot weather. City dwellers are waiting to welcome rainfall to get respite from the extreme attitude of the nature even in monsoon.
Another city dweller, Abdul Kadir said, we can hardly manage our regular life as excessive heat is dragging us. We would get relief if a downpour visits us, he added.
The Met Office sources said both minimum and maximum temperatures have increased by one or two degrees Celsius during the past few days. Rainfall may silences the rising trend of temperatures.
