Scientists asked to submit sustainable dev ideas

The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) has called upon all aspiring scientists, technologists and innovators to submit their best sustainable development ideas.
The deadline for all applications is midnight on August 28. Finalists will be announced on August 31 and will be invited to pitch at the Transformers Roadshow at the Radisson Blu Dhaka on September 9, a press release said. The top three winners will be honoured at the opening ceremony of the Islamic Development Bank Bangladesh Hub on September 9. The financial awards will be handed over by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and President of the Islamic Development Bank Dr Bandar Hajjar. Transformers Roadshow is a science, technology and innovation competition in which entrepreneurs and scientists can pitch their ideas for ways to support one or more of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Applicants will be invited to present their submissions before an esteemed judging panel in Dhaka on September 8, with the winning idea receiving an investment of US$ 3,000 to further develop their proposals.
