A three-day Science Fair organized by Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR) starts on its Dhaka campus today (Thursday).
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu will inaugurate the fair as the chief guest.
State Minister for Science and Information and Communication Yafesh Osman, MP, and Chairman of parliamentary standing committee on Science and Technology Dr. AFM Ruhal Haque, MP, and Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh University of
Engineering and Technology Professor Khaleda Ekram will join as special guests.
A total of 54 renowned schools, colleges and science clubs are participating in the fair with more than 150 projects.
Participants divided into three age groups (class 6-8, class 9-10 and class 11-12) with their projects will compete for the best award in the fair, the Public relation officer said.
Apart from them, some self- learned competitors will participate in the fair.
The inaugural ceremony will be presided over by BCSIR Chairman Dr AKM Asaduzzaman.
