RAJSHAHI: A three-day ‘Rajshahi District Science and Technology Fair ended here on Wednesday evening with the call of encouraging the young scientists towards more innovations. Rajshahi Deputy Commissioner’s Office organised the fair at Rajshahi Model School and College in association with Science and Technology Museum and Science and Technology Ministry to mark the 40th National Science and Technology Week-2019.Main thrust of the fair was to encourage the young scientists towards more innovation alongside flourishing their latent talents and building a science-minded and knowledge-based society. Institutions and science clubs from Rajshahi City Corporation area and nine upazilas in the district took part in the fair showcasing their scientific and ICT innovations through 92 stalls. Chaired by Deputy Commissioner SM Abdul Kader, the closing and prize- giving session was addressed by Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Finance Jalal Ahmed and Principal of the college Prof Habibur Rahman as chief and special guest respectively, reports BSS.
