A 11-year old schoolgirl was allegedly raped by a youth in the district’s Ramgarh upazila on Friday night.
The victim’s mother filed a case with Ramgarh Police Station yesterday night, accusing Bablu Ahamad. Police arrested the accused last night in connection with the case.
According to the case statement, the girl went for fishing in the Feni river beside her house at Darogapara around 8:30 pm on Friday night. At that time Bablu forcibly took the victim behind the bush and raped her.
Officer-in-Charge of Ramgarh Police Station Tareq Md. Abdul Hannan said The victim was sent to Khagrachhari District Sadar Hospital for medical examinations and the accused was cross examined.
Bablu Ahamad, 29, is the son of Kabir Ahamad of Atur Depo area of Chattogram city. But he used to live in her father-in-law’s house in Darogapara area of Ramgarh.
