A schoolgirl was killed and his minor brother injured in a road accident in Basupati area on the Kalna-Narail highway under Lohagara upazila of the district on Monday evening.
The deceased was indentified Keya, 8, a student of class two and daughter of Keramat Mulla of Arendagari village of the upazila.
Police said the accident occurred when a speedy motorbike hit the duo in the area, leaving Keya dead on the spot and his brother Rakib, 5, injured.
Rakib was sent to Lohagara hospital.
