UNB, Moulvibazar :
A schoolgirl was found dead in a paddy field at Sadanpur village in Kulaura upazila on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Laboni Akter Nazrin,9, a class III student of Harichak Government Primary School and also daughter of Dubai expatriate Nazrul Miah, a resident of the same village.
Amol Kumar Dhar, officer-in-charge of Kulaura Police Station, said local people spotted the body of Laboni lying in a paddy field beside her house in the area at about 6:00 am and informed police.
Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
The deceased’s uncle Abdul Basit Bachchu said Laboni’s friend Safia had called her out of the house on Wednesday morning to go to school.
