A schoolgirl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her room at Suto Digly village in Bishwanath upazila on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Ani Begum, 13, daughter of Basir Uddin of the village anda class Eight student of Rashid Ali High School of the area. Chairman of Khajanchi union parishrd Gius uddin said being informed by family members, police ecovered the hanging body of Ani from her room around 3.30pm. The reason behind the suicide could not be known.
