One school boy was murdered by his aunt due to family feud near Kurigram municipality office early hours on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Mohonto,12 son of Chummon of village Gorostan para under Kurigram municipality and also a student of class four of Kurigram Adarsa Primary School.
Local sources said Mohonto’s family had a previous with his neighbor’s uncle’s family. The aunt of Mohonto took away him in a paddy field at Horikesh area where she stabbed and slaughtered to death. She went away leaving the dead body in the paddy field. Hearing the news thousands of people gathered there to see the body of the ill fated school boy. Police rushed the spot and recovered the body and sent it to Kurigram Sadar Hospital morgue for post mortem examination. The aunt was arrested at once. A case was filed, police said.
