Police recovered the body of a school student from his house at Natun Para of Aman Bazar area under Hathazari upazila of the district on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Tasrif Farid Nirob, 15, a class ten student of Chittagong Cantonment Public School and College.
Following information from the victim’s family members, police recovered the hanging body of Nirob from his living room this morning, said Mohammad Arif, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Hathazari police station.
“He might have committed suicide by hanging himself with the ceiling fan”, the SI said adding that the victim’s family was allowed to bury the body without post mortem upon approval from the District Magistrate.
