School Rugby competition begins tomorrow

The First Security School Rugby competition will begin tomorrow (May 24) at Physical Training College ground in the city’s Mohammadpur.
Dr M Aminul Islam, director of sports directorate, is expected to inaugurate the meet as the chief guest.
A total of 12 metropolis schools, split into four groups, will take part in the three-day meet, sponsored by First Security Islami Bank and organised by Bangladesh Rugby Federation Union (BRFU).
Shahzada Boshunia, chief of public relation of First Security Islami Bank, will present on the occasion as special guest.
In this regards, a press conference was held on Monday at conference room of Bangabandhu National Stadium to provide all the details of the meet.
BRFU president Abdullah Al Zahir Swapan, BRFU vice-president Barrister Anis
and BRFU general secretary Moushum Aliwere present, among others.
The participating schools are St Gregory School & College, Islami Adarsha High School, Ali Ahmed School & College, Begum Rokeya Khandakar Pouro High School, Shaheed Nabi High School, Cambrian School, Sunshine Pre-Cadet High School, Haider Ali School & College, Hazi Akondo Ali High School, Bedaid Muslim High School, Ahamadbagh Adarsha High School and Menartek High School.
