Both the girls’ section semi-finals of the Atom Gum U-12 School Handball competition (boys’ & girls’) will be held today at Captain M Mansur Ali Handball Stadium.
Shaheed Bir Uttam Anwar College will take on Viqarunnisa Noon School and College in the first semi-final at 8 am while Sunnydale meet Heed International School in the second semis at 9 am.
Meanwhile, in the day’s girls’ section matches, Sunnydale drubbed South Point School and College by 9-0 goals, Viqarunnisa Noon School and College defeated Scholastica 5-4, Shaheed Bir Uttam Anwar College edged past Heed International 2-1, Shaheed Police Smrity College outclassed Sidheshwari Girls’ High School 5-4.
Sunnydale blanked Dhanmondi Tutorial 14-0, Heed International defeated Sideshwari Girls’ High School 7-1 and Scholastica beat South Bridge School 3-1.
In the boy’s section matches, St. Gregory’s High School crushed South Bridge School 23-1, Dhaka Residential Model College blanked Dhanmondi Tutorial 13-0, BAF Shaheen College defeated Shaheed Police Smrity College 8-5 and ST Gregory’s High School dumped Scholastica 13-1.
A total of 23 schools handball teams, including 13 of boys’ and 10 of girls’ teams, are taking part in the meet, sponsored by Atom Gum and organized by BHF.
