The finals of the Polar Ice Cream 24th School Handball (Boys’ & Girls’) will be held today at the Shaheed (Captain) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium. Viqarunnisa Noon School & College will take on Scholastica (Uttara) at 1.00 pm, while Saint Gregory’s High School will face Sunnydale at 2.00 pm.
In the day’s first semi-final, Saint Gregory’s High School defeated BISC by 25-8 goals after finishing the first session with a 14-4 goals lead.
Tahsin of Saint Gregory’s High School scored eight goals and his teammate Tanvir netted six goals.
On the other hand, Ahnaf pulled off for the losers.
In the day’s second semi-final, Sunnydale beat Dhaka Residential Model School & College by 27-21 goals after completing the first half with a 13-10 goals lead.
Irfan and Bijoy of Sunnydale scored seven goals each.
Fahim and Bijon netted five goals each for the losers.
Earlier, Viqarunnisa Noon School & College and Scholastica (Uttara) confirmed their final berth.
