Police after twelve days of abduction recovered a school girl of class ten from Palardi area under Gournadi upazila of Barisal district on Thursday night.
However, none was arrested in this connection till this report and the victim sent to Barisal Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital for medical test and magistrate court for recording statement on Friday noon.
Sub Inspector Nazrul Islam of Gournadi police station, said the rescued girl while roaming in front of her home in the area with her friends, some local hooligans led by Abul Hossain Daktar, son of Shahalam Daktar, abducted her on November 5, 2016. After abduction, Abul Hossain detaining the victim in different places violated her.
Father of the victim lodged a case in this connection with Gournadi police station on November 11 under prevention of torture against women and children act against Abul Hossain Daktar and four others. Police then starting investigation recovered the victim on Thursday night, S I Nazrul Islam said.
