A 15 years old girl and student of class nine was allegedly raped after being picked up from the road at gunpoint in Kuliarchar upazila of Kishoreganj on Saturday. The girl was on her way to home after her coaching classes.
Saiful Islam (22), son of Shaheed Miah was accused of raping the girl. The incident took place on Sunday at 10 a.m in the forest adjacent to the family crematorium of Tarini Biswas in Faridpur area of Kuliarchar upazila.
The school girl was rescued and sent to one stop crisis centre.The victim’s father has filed a case in this connection with Kuliarchar Police Station on Sunday afternoon.Kuliarchar Police Station Officer-in-charge (OC) Sultan Mahamud said that Police are continuing their efforts to arrest accused Saiful.
