Police could not arrest the accused of Ninth-grade schoolgirl rape case in last 9 days in Kholadanga area of Jashore district town.
Mehedi Hassan of the neighbour was raping the school girl for a long period of six months by showing her temptation of marriage. On April 25, the mother of the girl filed a case with the Jashore Kotwali Model Police Station against the rapist Mehedi Hasan. The accused Mehedi Hasan son of Monir Uddin of Kholadeanga village of the town.
Police and the family members said that the victim’s mother was living in the Kholadanga area long time. she was doing work as a maid. And her 15-year-old girl studied in the ninth grade in the same area at the Sujolpur Super Sign Collegiate School.
Mehedi Hasan has long been involved in the love relationship and physical relations by showing her the temptation of marriage with the girl. Billal Hossain, the son of Oheidur Rahman of the same village, cooperated as a guard in that work.
Last night, on 24th April, at around 9 pm, her mother did not find her at the resident and searched her from different places and rescued near the pond Akbar Mia’s Poultry Farm in the same area. But at that time the people saw the accused, Mehdi and Bilal ran away and fled from the spot.
After interrogation the girl at home, she said that Mehedi Hasan raped her by showing temptation of marriage she has been having physical relations with him for 6 months.
On April 25, the mother of the girl filed a case with the Kotwali Model Police Station. But the case was filed 9 days but police could not arrest the rapist.
As a result, if the Police do not take up the case, they are threatening to kill the victims family.
The investigation officer of the case, Jashore Kotwali Police Station SI Aminur Rahman said that police was trying to arrest the accused.
