A school girl was electrocuted at Uttor Bhushi village of Boalkhali upazila of the district on Thursday.
The victim was identified as Shoshi Chokoroborti, 12, a class six student of local High School and daughter of Bishow Nath Chokoroborthi and hailed from Uttor Bhushi village of Boalkhali upazila of the district.
Mohammad Salauddin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Boalkhali upazila said the school girl was electrocuted while collecting flowers beside an electric pole of their residence at Uttor Bhushi village under Boalkhali upazila at 7 am today.
The body was sent to hospital morgue for postmortem, he added.
