The body of a school boy, who was reportedly abducted on Sunday, was recovered from a neighbour’s house in Ramchandrapur village of Bheramara upazila on Monday evening.
The deceased was identified as Ashik Uddin, 14, son of Kutub Uddin of the village and a class VII student of Dharampur High School.
The victim’s father Kutub Uddin said his neighbour Mishuk, son of Samor Ali, called his son around 11:30 am on Sunday and was there till noon.
The victim’s father received a phone call for a ransom of amounting Tk 50,000 around 4:48 pm.
