Tarek (9), a school student of class-IV of Badurtala Chauddaghar Govt. Primary School and son of a poor man named Motaleb Shikdar of village Badurtala within Morrelganj Union under Morrelganj Upazila in Bagerhat district met his tragic end when he fell from a betel-nut tree in the village on Monday morning.
Locals said that to earn a little money the ill-fated boy climbed a thin and weak betel-nut tree belonging to one Humayun Kazi of the same village to pluck betel-nuts from the tree. But when the boy climbed 2/3 portions of the tree suddenly it was broken and he fell on the ground along with the boy.
As a result, he was fatally injured and died instantly. But in this connection no case was registered with the local PS and the dead body was buried without its autopsy on the same day.
