Police recovered a minor school boy’s body tied legs and hands with rope from a jute field from Char Kathakhali village of Sariakandi upazila of Bogra district on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Sohag, 08, son of Mohidul Islam Nukur of village Katakhali under the upazila. The boy also was a student of class II of Katakhali Government Primary School.
Police quoting the family sources said Sohag went missing on Tuesday afternoon. Earlier he went to the local Bengali River at around 5.00pm. Since then, he was not traced.
On information Sariakandi police rushed to the spot and recovered the body and sent to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital for autopsy, Sub Inspector Md. Waheduzzaman confirmed the mater.
A case was lodged with the police station in this connection, the SI added.
