Submission of online applications for admissions to public and private schools in Bangladesh will start on November 25 and end on December 8.
The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) decided on the schedule at a meeting on Thursday. DSHE Director Mohammad Belal Hossain told Dhaka Tribune that further details would be provided following another meeting on Sunday.
This time around, admissions to both government and non-government schools will be based on a lottery system, according to DSHE officials.
The lottery for state-owned schools will be held on December 15, while the one for private schools will be held on December 19.
Necessary formalities have to be completed using the state-owned phone operator Teletalk.
