Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) president and former law minister Abdul Matin Khasru, who was diagnosed with Covid-19, has been put on life support at Combined Military
Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka on Tuesday morning.
“Sir (Abdul Matin Khasru) has been put on life support around 11:30 am today (Tuesday) after his condition deteriorated,” said Md Mohin Miah, a personal assistant to the SCBA president.
The Supreme Court lawyer and Awami League lawmaker was admitted to the CMH on March 16 after being infected with Covid-19. Later he was shifted to the ICU (intensive care unit) on March 28 this year as his condition deteriorated. On April 1 he was tested negative for Covid-19. Following the negative result he was shifted to a common cabin from the ICU on Aril 3. But as his physical condition was deteriorated he was shifted to the ICU again on April 6 and on Tuesday he was put on a life support.
He was elected SCBA president on March 13 this year.
