SCBA getting 12-storey building

The government has taken an initiative of upgrading the Supreme Court Lawyers Association’s (SCBA) annex building into a 12-storey building.
Ministry of Housing and Public works has already started its activities in this regard.
Recently a letter has been sent by Deputy Secretary of the ministry Suraiya Begum to the Chief Engineer of the Public Works Department requesting to take necessary action for upgrading the 4-storey annex building of the SCBA into a
12-storey building by retrofitting techniques.
A copy of the letter was also sent to the president of the SCBA, Advocate A M Aminuddin. The lawyers’ leader said, “We have received a letter for upgrading the 4-storey annex building of the SCBA into a 12-storey building by retrofitting techniques.”
Meanwhile, construction of a 15-storey modern building for the Bangladesh Bar Council and a new 12-storey modern building for the Supreme Court are underway.
