Election schedule of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has been declared. As per the schedule, the annual election of the SCBA for its 14 executive posts including President and Secretary will be held on March 21 and 22.
SCBA recently issued a notification in this regard, said incumbent Secretary of the Bar Barrister A M Mahbub Uddin Khokon.
Vote casting will take place from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm with one-hour break for lunch on the election days, he said.
Candidates can collect and submit nomination

Candidates can collect and submit nomination
papers from March 1 to 11. The election commissioners will scrutinize the nomination papers in the last date of submission. Candidates can withdraw their nominations by March 14 and the election commission will publish the final list of valid candidates in the evening of same date.
A total of 6,252 lawyers have registered their names as voters for the SCBA annual election, SCBA Superintendent Nimesh Chandra Das told.
SCBA sources said, the main contest of the election will take place between ruling Awami League-backed Bangladesh Sammilita Ainjibi Samannaya Parishad (BSASP) and BNP-backed Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Oikya Parishad (BJAOP).
