Standard Chartered Bank, Bangladesh handed over blankets to Bangladesh Bank for distribution amongst the poor and cold-affected people around the country.
Imtiaz Ibne Sattar, Acting Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer and Bitopi Das Chowdhury, Country Head of Corporate Affairs of Standard Chartered Bangladesh handed over the blankets to SK Sur Chowdhury, Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank on Wednesday.
Sattar thanked the Deputy Governor for providing Standard Chartered with such opportunity. He also mentioned that this reiterates that we are ‘Here for good’ in Bangladesh.
As the country is in the grips of cold waves, the bank reached out to help the worst affected population of some poverty-stricken areas of the country. “Like in the past, once again we are happy to support deprived children and their immediate families, and keep them warm during winter.”
