Md Rezaul Karim, Chairman, Shippers’ Council of Bangladesh (SCB) is scheduled to leave Dhaka today (Monday) to attend Global Shippers’ Alliance (GSA) meeting from 22 to 24 March, 2016 in Paris organized by European Shippers’ Council (ESC) and French Association des Utilisateurs de Transport de Fret (AUTF).
The meeting will discuss on Position Papers and Action Plan on maritime, airfreight and trade facilitation for 2016 including surcharges, container weighing, and key performance indicators (KPIs), Single-Window Developments, mutual recognition of security systems, coordinated border management, and e-freight.
Apart from Bangladesh, European, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thai, China, Shenzen and Macau Shippers’ Councils will also attend the meeting.
