1st Board of Directors meeting for the term 2016 & 2017 of Shippers’ Council of Bangladesh (SCB) held on Tuesday at the SCB conference room, Motijheel, Dhaka under the Chairmanship of Md Rezaul Karim.
Senior Vice Chairman Ariful Ahsan, Vice Chairman Afsaruddin Sawpan and Directors: Arzu Rahman Bhuiyan, Kamran Uddin, AKM Aminul Mannan (Khokon), Mohammad Shahjahan Khan, Md Munir Hossain, Ziaul Islam also attended the meeting.
The meeting reviewed the present trade, transportation and other issues connected with to boost export of the country. Board also stressed importance of the activities of the SCB for the coming year. Some new members for SCB have been approved.
Board decided to participate in the upcoming Global Shippers’ Alliance (GSA) meeting to be held in France, Paris on 21-24 March, 2016.
Md Rezaul Karim, Chairman and Arzu Rahman Bhuiyan, Director SCB are expected to attend the meeting on behalf of Shippers’ Council of Bangladesh. Apart from Bangladesh, European, HongKong, Indonesia, Thai, China, Shenzen and Macau Shippers’ Council are also expected to attend the meeting.
