UNB, Dhaka :Closing the arguments on the appeal filed by condemned convict war criminal M Kamaruzzaman, assistant secretary general of Jamaat-e Islami, the Supreme Court on Wednes day kept its verdict pending to be delivered any day.A four-member Appellate Division bench, headed by Justice SK Sinha, passed the order. The appeal hearing began on June 5.On May 9 last year, the International Crimes Tribunal-2 condemned M Kamaruzzaman to death for his crimes against humanity, including murder, abduction torture, rape and mass killing, during the country’ s Liberation War in 1971.On June 6 last year, the condemned convict filed the appeal with the Supreme Court challenging the ICT-2 verdict.
