The four-member bench of the Appellate Division, headed by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha,
directed the state counsels also to submit their concise statement for the same appeal before it by May 27.
The Appellate Division passed the order after hearing arguments from the defence and the State.
Advocate Jaynal Abedin Tuhin appeared for Quasem Ali, while Additional Attorney General Murad Reza appeared for the State.
The International Crimes Tribunal-2 sentenced Quasem Ali to death as it found him guilty on November 2 last year on the allegations of crimes against humanity.
