The election to the Supreme Court Bar Association will be held on March 12 and 13 next as the authorities announced the schedule of the polls on February 18. According to the schedule, the last date of submission of nomination paper has been fixed on February 27 till 5 pm and the forms will be scrutinized at 5.30 PM on the same day while the last date of withdrawal of candidature is March 3. The election to the SC Bar will be held against 14 posts including one president, two vice-presidents, one secretary, one treasurer and one assistant secretary.
A total of 4054 lawyers of the country’s apex court are likely to exercise their right of franchise in the polls. The polling will begin at 10 am and continue till 5 pm with one hour recess every day.
