Anti- corruption Commission has lodged a case against former acting director and administrative officer of Barisal Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital accusing them in corruption and irregularities in appointing manpower at the hospital.
Shah Md. Awlad Hossain, Officer- In- Charge of Barisal Kotwali Police Station, said Matiur Rahman, Deputy Director at Barisal office of ACC lodged this case on Wednesday night against Dr. Nizamuddin Ahmed, former acting director and Abdul Jalil, former administrative officer of SBMCH.
The case was lodged under sections 409/201/109 of penal code and section 5(2) of Anti Corruption Act of 1947.
ACC official will investigate the case, the OC of Kotwali PS added.
In the case the complainant alleged that procedures for appointing 226 posts of third and fourth class employees of the hospital completed between August-2015 to December 2016.
