Ataur Rahman Pradhan, MD and CEO of Sonali Bank Ltd (SBL) said that the bank would provide financial assistance to the educational institutions which have been closed for nearly a year and a half due to corona. He said that development and employment of industrial mills was not taking place as gas was not coming to Rangpur region through the pipeline. He said that he had requested the Commerce Minister to provide electricity at the price of gas.
He said this at an exchange meeting with businessmen and bankers of Rangpur division at RDRS auditorium here on Wednesday morning. Sonali Bank’s DMD Morshedul Kabir was the special guest at the function presided over by Sonali Bank’s Rangpur GM Rashidul Islam. Sonali Bank AGM Abdur Barek Chowdhury.
Ataur Rahman Pradhan said that under the CSR project, Sonali Bank will provide financial assistance to educational institutions and students affected during the Corona period.
It is mentionable that the educational institutions are being opened from September 12.
